為大家帶來(lái)考試規律總結.希望對大家GMAT備考有所幫助.雖然GMAT閱讀文章的題材廣泛,卻表現出固定的行文模式,也就是典型的論證文章。要強調的是:GMAT閱讀文章的主題與結構的重要性遠大于文章內容的重要性。具體地說(shuō),在GMAT閱讀中,不管文章內容如何變化,都可歸納成一下的四種演進(jìn)方式: 1、舊觀(guān)點(diǎn)--> 新觀(guān)點(diǎn):“It was once believed that the brain was independent of metabolic processes occurring elsewhere in the body”--> “In recent studies, however, we have discovered that the production and release in brain neurons of the neuro- transmitter serotonin neurotransmitters are compounds that neurons use to transmit signals to other cells) depend directly on the food that the body processes.”文章一開(kāi)始會(huì )提出一個(gè)舊觀(guān)點(diǎn)(once believed),接著(zhù)提出一個(gè)新觀(guān)點(diǎn)(recent years),而文章的第三部分一般會(huì )對新觀(guān)點(diǎn)做進(jìn)一步的闡述。 2、現象-->解釋?zhuān)?“Historians of women"s labor in the United States at first largely disregarded the story of female service workers” --> “To explain this unfinished revolution in the status of women, historians have recently begun to emphasize the way a prevailing definition of femininity…….”。文章一開(kāi)始會(huì )提出一個(gè)現象,然后對該現象進(jìn)行解釋(explain),————后對每個(gè)解釋一一評述,并表明作者態(tài)度。 3、問(wèn)題-->解決 “Archaeology as a profession faces two major problems” --> “I would like to make an outrageous suggestion that would at one stroke provide funds…..”文章往往在開(kāi)始就提出一個(gè)問(wèn)題(problem),然后提出一個(gè)或幾個(gè)解決方案(suggestion) ,同樣,作者對每個(gè)解決方案一一評價(jià),并表明態(tài)度。 4、結論--> 解釋 “Two modes of argumentation have been used on behalf of women"s emancipation in Western societies. Arguments in what could be called the "relational" feminist tradition………..”文章在開(kāi)始處提出一個(gè)總觀(guān)點(diǎn),然后剩余篇幅都用于論述此觀(guān)點(diǎn),并以明顯的“總分結構”來(lái)組織全文。 事實(shí)上,在每篇擁有特定套路的文章中基本都能找出一個(gè)主題句(topics Sentence)。例如對于新舊觀(guān)點(diǎn)對立型的文章,新觀(guān)點(diǎn)即為主題句; 而問(wèn)題解決或現象解釋文章的主題句,就是解決方案或解釋。這些都是經(jīng)過(guò)很多考生驗證的GMAT閱讀的規律。 二、題型固定 GMAT閱讀部分多年以來(lái)形成了幾種固定的題型及問(wèn)法,如果我們對此進(jìn)行反復識別并加以練習,就會(huì )有不小的收獲。從GMAT閱讀的規律上看,題型總體上可分為客觀(guān)題和主觀(guān)題??陀^(guān)題包括直接事實(shí)題、取非題、舉例作用題、邏輯題、排除題、信息題和類(lèi)比題;主觀(guān)題包括主題題和態(tài)度題。從GMAT誕生的一、天就存在并延續至今,被“固化”下來(lái),這樣就是GMAT閱讀的規律性的重要體現了。
