其中，“日語(yǔ)”成績(jì)在270分以上，“基礎科目(文科為綜合科目和數學(xué)的總分，理科為理科和數學(xué)的總分)”成績(jì)在265分以上。同時(shí)，需要提供英文成績(jì)作為參考。

To be eligible to apply for HUSTEP, students must:

1. be enrolled in full-time degree programs at overseas that have concluded a student exchange agreement with Hokkaido .

2. be enrolled and pay tuition fees at their home as full-time students during the entire period of study in Japan.

3. have completed at least two years of study at their own prior to arrival in Japan.

4. have a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale or .

5. be in English. Non-native English speakers must have a score of at least TOEFL iBT 79 or IELTS 6.5.

6. be able to arrive by late September or first week of April.

Japanese language ability is not required to in HUSTEP.

Those students whose main focus is studying Japanese language and are majoring in Japanese Studies should consider applying to the Japanese Language and Cultural Studies Program (JLCSP) instead of HUSTEP.

There are a limited number of available so most students will have to cover their own costs. Although it varies by , the cost of living in Japan is about 100,000 yen (roughly $850 US) per month. Thus students should have enough money saved up to pay for one year of living costs or make other financial before coming to Japan. Students should be clear that HUSTEP is strictly a study program.

Even if students receive a , the first payment will be made one month after the arrival. Students must bring money to pay for both the first month dormitory fee and living costs.

To assist exchange students, the Japan Student Services (JASSO) offers the following to a limited number of students. The Student Exchange Support Program ( for Short-Term Study in Japan) includes a monthly stipend as follows:

2.申請人在申請的時(shí)候必須持有日語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言熟練考試證書(shū)，成績(jì)在N3及以上，或者持有同等水平及以上日語(yǔ)證書(shū)。需要特別說(shuō)明的是，申請人必須認識500個(gè)以上日本漢字，聽(tīng)得懂正常語(yǔ)速下的日語(yǔ)對話(huà)，能寫(xiě)或讀簡(jiǎn)單的日語(yǔ)句子。達到日本之后如發(fā)現日語(yǔ)技能不符合條件的，將不能完成課程。

3.申請人*成績(jì)必須良好。

4.截至2021年4月1日，申請人年齡必須在18到29歲之間。
